they left their marks in sand margins of dried creek beds. with bones. footprints. impressions of fur and feather. shadows within untold layers of ancient dust, from before dust was dust, tell the story of that creature’s existence, of the making and unmaking of the world a hundred billion times over.

  1. Love your website and all the art! Great stuff – love that little walrus book, so sweet! I’m the director of the Prospect Park Zoo and Deborah Ross is a pal of mine and my favorite artist as well! She is brilliant.

    We’re working on a new exhibit area “Animals in Art” that encourages people to observe animals through artistic media. Will open completely in November, but the art station is being installed next week. come back and visit! We love artists who love us!
